Join a fast‑moving tech organisation where you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience across a globally distributed team. This is a hands‑on People Partner role for someone who loves variety, thrives in a remote‑first environment, and enjoys flexing between partnering, coordination, and delivery.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the trusted first point of contact for employees and leaders, offering practical, solutions‑focused HR support while keeping day‑to‑day People & Culture operations running smoothly. Your work will span the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment coordination and onboarding through to development, performance, and offboarding. You’ll take ownership of people initiatives end‑to‑end, maintain clear and accurate HR systems, and support engagement, culture, and learning activities. You’ll also help coordinate team events and meet‑ups, ensuring people feel connected and supported across different locations and time zones.
What you’ll bring
- Experience working in generalist HR roles and confidence working and advising leaders.
- Experience in a technology environment or supporting technical teams would be an advantage
- Comfort working with international staff and navigating time zones.
- Solid understanding of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice.
- A hands‑on, “roll‑your‑sleeves‑up” approach across partnering and administration.
- Excellent communication skills across multiple channels (Slack, Notion, email, video).
- High attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to keep initiatives moving.
- Comfort working autonomously in a lean, fast‑paced environment.
- A proactive, agile mindset and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
What’s in it for you
You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact in a growing, remote‑first tech organisation where your work directly shapes how people experience the business. You’ll gain broad exposure across the full People & Culture spectrum, build strong relationships with leaders, and influence how people practices evolve. You’ll enjoy the flexibility of remote work while still being part of a connected, collaborative team that values initiative, low‑ego partnership, and continuous improvement. This is a role where you can grow, contribute widely, and see the tangible results of your work.
