We’re looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to support leaders across the South Island for 8-10 months on contract. You can be based in any of the cities in the SI. This role blends strategic partnering with hands‑on delivery, offering the opportunity to shape culture, uplift leadership capability, and drive meaningful people initiatives across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing trusted advice to leaders on a wide range of people matters, including guiding fair and effective resolution of ER issues.
- Supporting the development of proactive people strategies that strengthen culture, engagement, and organisational performance.
- Coaching leaders to build confidence in performance management, communication, and people decision‑making.
- Enhancing HR systems, policies, and processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to remuneration frameworks, annual reviews, and reward programmes.
- Using data and insights to inform decision‑making and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Championing wellbeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
- Solid experience operating as an People and Culture Business Partner
- Strong capability in ER, along with broader expertise across engagement, remuneration, and organisational change.
- Proven ability to influence and coach senior leaders.
- Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, or a related field.
