P&C Business Partner

March 25, 2025

The HR team of this large, complex organisation is looking for an experienced P&C Business Partner to join them in this key role.

Great things about this role you should know
This is the opportunity you’ve been looking for – contributing your skills to an organisation with strong purpose. Benefits include 5 weeks annual leave, free car parking on site and hybrid work. All this and you’ll be joining a team of experienced HR professionals and reporting to an empowering HR leader.

Here’s what you’ll be involved in
Day to day, your key focus will be helping managers through a range of employment relations issues. This will include all levels of cases, from simple disciplinary and performance issues right through to the most complex. You’ll be actively building management capability as you guide them through issues. Change management is also a key area of focus, working with organisation leaders to drive change. Outside of ER, you’ll be partnering with your portfolio, supporting them through the employment lifecycle, including doing HR admin. This is a complex, unionised environment, where effective management of all stakeholders will form part of your day to day activities. You’ll be mainly based in the East Tamaki area and enjoy hybrid working.

Skills and experience you’ll bring
You are an experienced HR business partner with strong ER, and have built your skills in a complex environment. You are happy to work in a role where managing employment relations is your key focus, and guiding great outcomes is your goal. You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and be hands on to get the job done. You have excellent communication skills, are resilient and happy to work in a changing and evolving environment.
You’ll already have gained significant experience handling end to end employment relations cases and have developed strong knowledge of ER procedure, ideally in a unionised environment. You’re now keen to apply your skills and knowledge in an organisation that benefits your community.

To be eligible for this role, you’ll need to have the right to work in New Zealand.
