HR Business Partner – 4 month fixed term

February 27, 2025

Join a large, complex organisation in this busy HR business partner role until the end of June. This is a hands-on, operational opportunity working with a diverse workforce.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
Covering a secondment, you’ll be happy to pick up whatever comes your way. This will include a lot of hands on advising and guiding managers through ER and employment issues and getting involved in continuous improvement initiatives. As this is a multi-site organisation, much of the support you provide will be remote via phone. You’ll be part of a small HR team, reporting to the GMHR and providing day to day coaching the HR Advisor and HR Coordinators.

Skills and experience you’ll bring
The environment is fast moving, and things are always changing, so you have to be up for a challenge! You’ll be prepared to get in, build relationships and gain credibility. You are an experienced Senior HR Advisor or HRBP, including a solid background handling day to day ER including absenteeism and drug & alcohol policy breaches. If you’ve worked with unions in the past, that would be a plus.

Great things about this role you should know
This business is turning over a new leaf in HR, with a new GMHR at the helm. You’ll get to put in the hard work and be part of driving this change. While initially you’ll be working onsite, building relationships with the business and getting your head around the role, this is a hybrid position where you’ll enjoy the flexibility of up to 2 days WFH.

This role is currently vacant due to secondment, so you’ll need to be available to start on short notice.

To be eligible for this role, you’ll need to have the right to work in New Zealand.

Please apply online with your resume and cover letter.
